We love our Garmin nuvi 1350. We have never had anything like it! It arrived in fine time, and we took our 800 mile trip with it . . . only missed one location and that was a restaurant that turned out not to be any good, anyway! It found us a terrific restaurant in Tallahassee, FL, not to mention getting us to our destination 800 miles from home, right to the front door! We like it so much, we have even started using it around town, here at home! "She" is part of the family . . . we named "her" "Jill" because of the voice "she" uses!

Great little GPS.
These little GPS systems, work better than the highly expensive ones that come with cars these days. Including the fact that you can update them for free on line. Car dealers charge for their upgrades.

I bought the Nuvi 1350 from a Sam's Club on November 7, 2009 and it stopped working on December 7, 2009. It went dead seven days after I bought it. This was my first GPS and I need to find one that lasts longer than the Nuvi 1350.

Garmin has a real problem with the Nuvi 1350-the unit shuts down for no reason. I visited Garmin's website and downloaded software to fix the shut-down issue and it hasn't worked. On a recent 3000mi round trip to Florida, I averaged 10 shutdowns per day. When I returned home, I reloaded the software to fix this issue(for the second time). I have not taken a long trip since, so I don't know if it is fixed. Be aware before you buy! Garmin used to make "bulletproof" GPS devices, like my StreetPilot 2720. I am not sure I would buy another Garmin.

The Nuvi 1350 has nice features and a good price but it will not connect to the computer to register or get downloads. It does not come with the cable needed to connect to the computer so you have to buy one. When connecting to the computer it is supposed to go into mass storage mode. The 1350 will sometimes not connect at all and sometimes connect and go into mass storage mode for 1 to 4 seconds before disconnecting. I know it is not a computer or cable problem because my son's Nuvi 205 connects without fail using the same computer and cable. No matter how many times I try, the 1350 has never connected for a usable length of time and I have even rebooted the 1350. I exchanged it for another 1350 and the new one does the exact same thing. The features and price are attractive, I paid $170, but if it will not connect, the product can not get software updates or new maps and you can't download pictures to it. Since I got two 1350's that have this same problem I have concluded that the Nuvi 1350 is a piece of junk!
