Sound does not work. I went to mygarmin site to register and download my one free map. Tried several times and download would not complete and launch. I would not buy another Garmin product.

Small enough to fit in your pocket, screen large enough to see your way just fine. Quick route recalculation, I had my new route set before I reached the next street. Address programming is very quick too! The only downside I see is the cigarette lighter adapter, the adapter is pretty long and sticks out far enough to interfere with my shifter and the mini USB plug is turned down from the unit so it can create problems for mounting.
*** Update *** I took it on my first trip and I would say that my biggest gripe is that it needs to have the ability to avoid little two lane highways. You can avoid full size freeways, but not the small ones. I took the suggested route and it turned out to be bad news with blowing snow, I would have been much better off taking the longer route on a major highway. They don't make it easy for you to select an alternate route without a bit of programing. Also, a detachable visor over the top of the unit would be very helpful as the screen is reflected in the car's windshield.

The GPS is spot on and the directions are clear. It is extremely intuitive. For the most part, it works really well. It is fun to play with.
The thing that caused me to only give it three stars is the POIs. Stores that have been around forever (Toys R Us, Michael's, Joann Fabrics) are not listed. Much newer stores have loaded for me, so it isn't a case of the maps needing updated. The POI loader is pretty much useless, because the POI packages that are available are for specific stores, like all of the Walmart locations in the US. How about a package of all of the stores in Washington State? Or all of the restaurants? My old GPS from a company no longer available (Plenio) had better POIs...too bad they aren't in the same format or I would copy them over.
I got this free for opening a new banking account. I'm glad I did not spend money on this or I would be very disappointed. So now if I'm out and about and want to go somewhere I have to call information on my cell phone and get an address to manually punch into the GPS. What a pain.
Unless I'm missing something???

Very easy to use and extremely accurate. Rented a cabin in the mountains of NC, found my way even on dirt roads with it. Wonderful!
Also, I paid $155 for this GPS, not $199 as it states in the star rating. Not sure about that?

Pros
# text to speech nice and loud and clear
# Bright screen
# Supports use of optional traffic receivers
# Good routing engine
# Upcoming turn indicator displays direction of next turn along with count down distance # to next turn that reaches zero when you are at your turn.
# Well designed map screen is easy to understand but can't change color interface. Street names are in easy to read big enough font sized letters and #s
# here Am I" feature provides one-touch access to your current location,
Cons
# No way to exclude a specific road from a planned route
# Limited Detour function
# You have to choose the State first whenever entering an address in a different State instead of entering zip
# Traffic receiver not included
# USB cable not included
# some POIs take for ever to load up and then it doesn't list the ones in my city just the next city over. These POIs were here a long time ago and are still here.
